Sunali Khajuria Legal Cum Probationary Officer JJB, Reasi acted as a resource person and Advocate Rashi Baru was the moderator in the said program.
Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA Reasi presented an introductory talk on the topic, while the resource Person discussed in detail the historical background and also the provisions of The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
She also explained in detail by quoting examples the meaning of the expressions “Child in need of Care and Protection”;”Child in conflict with Law”;“Offences against the Children ; ‘Sponsorship Component’ etc. This webinar was a little initiative by DLSA Reasi in order to create legal awareness among the participants as to how to deal with a ‘Child who is in need of Care and Protection’ or a” Child Who is in Conflict with Law’ by adopting a child-friendly approach in the adjudication and disposition of matters and how can such Children be rehabilitated through various institutions established under the Act.
At the end of the program an interactive session was held and the Child Helpline No.1098 was also shared by the resource person with the participants.
