The event was held on the direction of District Development Commissioner (Chairman MSK) Ashok Sharma and under the overall supervision of District Programme Officer, Kishori Lal Sharma.
The MSK team said that the SASCM scheme is a Special Assistance Scheme for Covid Mortalities. The scheme ensures the sustenance of families who have lost their sole breadwinner due to Covid-19. Financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month will be provided to the spouse of the deceased or the eldest family member. Also the scheme provides a scholarship of Rs 20,000 per annum for school-going children and Rs 40,000 for those in college.
The MSK team also sensitised the participants about the eligibility criteria and procedure on how to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Programme was attended by Panchs, AWWs, AWHs besides others.
Awareness regarding women centric schemes was also imparted to the participants on the occasion.
