Prime Minister addressed the nation to mark the 7th International Day of Yoga

NEW DELHI: 7th International Yoga Day is being celebrating today throughout the world. The idea of International Yoga Day was conceived by our Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi during his speech at United Nations General Assembly. Resolution placed before UNGA received unprecedented support from nations. First International Yoga Day was observed on 21st June 2015 in whole of the world which was termed as a gift of Indian tradition to humanity.
Today our Honorable Prime Minister addressed the nation to mark the 7th International Day of Yoga. During his address he described the theme of this year as “Yoga for Wellness” which focuses on practicing Yoga for physical and mental well being. He said that in association with WHO India will be launching M-Yoga application to further popularize Yoga in the whole world. In this application based on common Yoga protocol various Yoga training videos in different languages of the world will be available. He further said that this fusion of modern technology and old tradition is exemplary to fulfill motto of ‘One World, One Health’.  
Prime Minister said that physical as well as mental health is key to success. Yoga leads us from negativity to positivity, Stress to Strength. He further said that today Medical Science also places equal emphasis on healing as well as treatment and Yoga is beneficial in the healing process Experts/ Scientists throughout the world are working on the holistic benefits of the Yoga. During his address he quoted the slokas from the ancient scriptures from Indian sages..
