Samba: Our correspondent visited the Paramhans Saint Ashrm Ranjari which is popularly known by the people as Sahib Bandagi Ashram. Sahib Ji told our Correspondent that with the hardwork and dedication we have made it possible to cultivate Apple in Ranjri where the high temperature is recorded. He told that we have developed 4-5 gardens of Apple where you can find apple full of juice when asked he told that it is named as Golden Apple. Apple trees is normally required cooler climate and mostly grow in Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Himalyan Region but with the hardwork and association of the devotee from Kashmir and Kulu Manali ashram has been able to cultivate the Apple Trees in the Summer Zone. On inquiry he told us that at present 20 to 25 permanent workers are working in the field. Besides this Tracters self driven are used to plough the field. He further told that the trees are nourished like children to get the fruit in unfavorable climate and it is a Kranti in India being the first Apple garden in Summer Zone. The task was not easy and ashram had to construct a water reservoir with heavy investment for watering the plant. Swami ji told that the fruit is tasty, Juicy with full of aroma and average weight of 250 gm, even one was weigh as 386 gm and even unriped is tasteful. Further informed that besides cultivating apples ashram also grow vegetables.
