Week-long celebration of World Environment Day concludes in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, JUNE 12: The week-long celebration of  World Environment  Day  organized by District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah, in collaboration with forest department, Bhaderwah Development Authority and floriculture department   concluded here today.

 The celebration commenced on June 5 with a plantation drive programme and concluded in the premises of District Court Complex Bhaderwah, where dozens of saplings were planted.

 On the concluding day,  Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Pr District and Sessions Judge Bhaderwah, Virender Singh Bahu was chief guest, while Secretary DLSA Mudassir Farooq, Special Mobile Magistrate Munish K Manhas, Sub Judge, Sumiti Sharma  and DFO Bhaderwah Chander Shekher were also present on the occasion .

 In the week-long celebration of World Environment Day, the DLSA created awareness on the importance of the environment and various environmental acts .

The speakers threw light  on the importance of plantation drive and asked people to plant saplings of different species of trees in their surrounding areas and help to protect,  improve and preserve the environment.

Range officer Neeru Aftab Ahmed; Dr Ifthikar Malik from BDA, Advocate Mohd Majid Malik  and others were also present on the occasion.
