Recovery rate touches 96-97%; no positive case reported in last 4 days
REASI, JULY 07: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today said that the Covid scenario in the district is showing visible improvement with near about 96-97 % recovery rate and zero new cases in the last 4 days.
Speaking to the media at the weekly press briefing, however, he reiterated his appeal for using the face masks and observance of Covid appropriate behaviour and other SOPs to prevent the resurgence of the Covid.
While briefing about covid scenario in the district, the DC said that in the last one week district Reasi reported only 217 cases out of which only 10 are local rest are travelers. He further informed that since July 3 no positive case was reported in the district including among the travellers.
While updating on the ongoing Tribal Migratory population survey and enumeration, the DC said that this survey will help in identifying Tribal Migratory population and registering them for bringing under the ambit of different beneficiary schemes through proper planning.
The DC further informed that the survey has already started in the district with ADDC as the Nodal officer. He said for this survey teams have been constituted at tehsil level to register the Tribal Migratory population.
Later, the DC flagged off a mobile IEC campaign to spread awareness about Covid Appropriate Behaviour in the district. The DC informed that this CAB RATH will cover 12 blocks of District Reasi to sensitize and aware the public on maintaining covid appropriate behavior and benefit of taking vaccination.
