While interacting with the beneficiaries, the DC said the MUMKIN scheme, which is a Customised Livelihood Generation scheme for Youth of Jammu & Kashmir, is a hand holding effort of the government to facilitate unemployed youth to establish a sustainable livelihood source in the transport sector.
The DC informed that under Mission Youth, a District youth Centre is proposed to be setup in district Kathua, where facilities like digital library, professional counselling, Amphitheatre Auditorium, Skill Lab, discussion room would be provided for Youth Engagement and empowerment.
He said under the umbrella of Mission Youth, another Self employment Scheme TAJESWANI has been launched for empowerment of Young Women with the provision of adequate upfront interest subsidy.
Earlier, Assistant Director Employment & Counselling Centre, Naresh Kumar gave details of the progress made as on date under the scheme.
He disclosed that formation of district Youth clubs has also been started under mission youth in the district and in the first instance 225 youth clubs will be formed in Panchayat/Municipal wards covering around 1125 youth.
The Assistant Director further informed that PARVAAZ and AVSAR are also upcoming schemes of Mission Youth where emphasis would be on recruitment of youth in reputed corporate houses and providing coaching for professional competitive examinations.
Among others GM DIC Kathua, Chief Planning Officer Kathua, ARTO Kathua, Cluster Head J&K bank Kathua were present on the occasion.
