The meeting discussed the proposals under the District Capex Plan, physical status of projects targeted for completion in the year 2020-21, status and progress of works under MGNREGA, 14th FC, and other schemes were also discussed.
The DDC also took a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by Rural Development, Education, Health, KPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD and other sectors and passed a number of directions.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC directed District Coordinator NRLM to target Block Kishtwar for developing it as Dairy Block.
The XEN REW was directed to expedite the tendering process and ensure that the tendering process has been completed in a time bound manner.
In order to ensure the time bound completion of works, the DDC directed the ACD to get the PERT chart from AEEs AEs and JEs and keep monitoring the progress of work.
He further directed all BDOs to install the solar lights under 14th FC in next 15 days and also to complete the houses under PMAY (G) besides, the DFO was directed to provide timber to the beneficiaries.
He further directed XEN Jal Shakti ground water Division to take necessary steps for the repair of non-functional hand pumps particularly in Mandal area to redress the growing demand of water in summer season.
Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks impeding the completion of projects were also highlighted by the concerned officers. The DDC sought the speedy disposal of these issues.
The DDC directed all the executing agencies to take up the new projects/schemes for execution and asked the intending departments to submit the weekly progress report of the works to the DC Office.
Among others, ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, JDP Mohd Iqbal, ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir Hussain, Ex. Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, Irrigation and besides BDOs, NRLM and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
