The daylong workshop was attended by hundreds of technical educated unemployed youth. During the workshop an interactive session was organized between students and representatives from leading industries of Kashmir including FIL, ALBA, Aqualite and other micro companies who in detail taught them about every aspect relating to establishment of units, getting job in such companies and kind of frame of mind and resilience an interested entrepreneur needs to develop.
The workshop was also addressed by General Manager DIC, M Ashraf, Deputy Director Employment, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Representative from EDI, KVIB and KVIC.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Akramullah Tak, who also chaired the proceedings of the event said that youth must come forward and make full use of these opportunities, create and establish units, generate employment avenues not only for self but for others also.
He urged them to take steps in the direction of entrepreneurship, as a lot of options and opportunities are available in the field of JKEDI, Handicrafts, Horticulture, Agriculture and other MSME units.
