He also inspected the Sheep Unit of Mushtaq Ahmed of Sarote comprising 25 Ewes and the 10 Does unit of Liaqat Ali of Dhannu, Bhalwal established under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme for the year 2020-21.
During the inspection of Sheep Extension Center, the Director took stock of the working of the office and asked the officers/officials to work with missionary zeal to provide benefits of the schemes of the department to Sheep/Goat breeders of the area.
The Director said that the department has a major role in development of the small ruminants sector to upgrade the socio-economic status of rural masses of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. He asked the officers to inform people about employment generation schemes launched by the Sheep Husbandry Department. He asked the officers to conduct regular meetings with the breeders for betterment of the community.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Jammu.
