He also inspected the Sheep Units established in favour of Baldev Raj of Jarh Abtal (25 Does + 01 Buck) and Raj Singh of Abtal (25 Does + 01 Buck) established under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme for the year 2020-21.
He asked the officers to aware the people about employment generating schemes launched by the Sheep Husbandry Department and directed to conduct regular meetings with the breeders of the area for betterment of the community. He exhorted upon the concerned functionaries for making earnest efforts to develop these sectors for growth of the economic profile of the farmers. The department has a major role in development of the small ruminants sector to upgrade the socio-economic status of rural masses of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
