Hybrid Chilli seed provided to women farmers in Sangaldan

RAMBAN, JULY 29: To promote the cultivation of high quality chilli as the second crop in a year, the Department of Agriculture today distributed hybrid variety seeds among progressive women farmers of Sangaldan area of district Ramban.

The Chief Agriculture Officer, Farooq Ahmed Bhat presided over the function in presence of SMS, K.K Koul along and AEA, Ramneek Singh.

On the occasion, hybrid chilli seed was distributed among the progressive women farmers which is to be cultivated in 5.62 hectare land in Sangaldan area of Gool tehsil of Ramban district.

This is the first time in Ramban district that the Agriculture Department is promoting the second crop of chilly in one year on a trial basis.
