Senior Superintendent Police, PD Nitya; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; ACR, Dhirendra Sharma; ACD Zameer Ahmed Rishu and other senior district and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
It was decided that the main I-Day function would be held at Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban where National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by March Past by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Army band etc.
The DC constituted various committees to ensure foolproof arrangements including Cultural Programme Monitoring Committee, Reception Committee etc. He directed the concerned officers to work in coordination to make the National function a grand success.
In view of Covid-19 pandemic, the Independence Day celebration would be celebrated with limited gathering and in strict adherence to social distancing norms and wearing of masks.
The CMO was directed to ensure proper implementation of COVID-19 SOPs besides emergency healthcare arrangements at the venue on rehearsal and national day function.
The SSP and Traffic police officers also briefed the DDC about security and traffic arrangements and assured foolproof arrangements during the I-Day celebration.
