Red Cross holds Blood donation camp at Lolab, Kupwara

SRINAGAR, JULY 29: Indian Red Cross Society, J&K chapter today organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with the 28 RR of Indian Army at Lolab in the frontier district of Kupwara in North Kashmir.

The Blood donation camp was organised on the directions of Honorary General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, J&K Chapter, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi in view of the blood requirements of Govt. Hospitals in J&K during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

During the camp, a total number of 50 officers and men of Indian Army donated blood. The blood was received by the Blood Bank of District Hospital Kupwara which shall be given to the patients in dire need of blood transfusion.

Rizvi conveyed his gratitude to the donors for donating their blood. He also thanked the Officers of Indian Army for encouraging their men to contribute to this noble cause. 

Rizvi expressed gratitude to the Block Medical Officer, Kupwara and volunteers of Red Cross for organizing this camp.
