The resource persons of the Health Department advised the participants not to lower guard to avoid a fresh spike in positive cases. “Although the Government is making best possible efforts to avert the COVID19 pandemic, active cooperation from the general public is a must in this regard,” they said.
The participants were made aware about washing hands frequently, wearing masks, maintaining social distance, staying extra cautious at public places, getting timely tested for COVID if feeling symptoms to stay safe.
At Doongi, the programme was organised by the District Information Centre Rajouri in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra. The Sarpanch Vipan Dutta apprised the participants about the measures being taken by the Administration to counter the pandemic in the district and urged upon them to ensure full support to the Government in this fight. IEC material including pamphlets were also distributed among the participants.
The participants were also briefed about the benefits of COVID vaccination and were urged to take the vaccine.
