SAMBA, AUGUST 14: To mark “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” and celebration of 75th Independence Day, District administration Samba, under supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, today distributed free ration kits containing food items, candles, wheat etc among the extremely poor families of the District to enable them to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Secretary District Red Cross Society to provide the Ration kits through Red Cross and ensure that maximum deserving people get the food items.
The concerned SDMs and Tehsildars constituted the delivery teams and ensured the ration kits are delivered at the door step of around 150 families on the occasion.
