Also reviews progress of auctioned mineral blocks
KUPWARA, AUGUST 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today reviewed the arrangements being put forth for development of Bangus valley as a tourist destination.
The meeting was aimed at to discuss various developmental issues of the Bangus valley as per the directions of Lieutenant Governor during his recent visit to the Bangus valley.
The DC directed all concerned engineers to act as per the directions received on the spot during the visit and ensure timely completion of required tasks. He also directed the concerned officers to submit the action taken report to his office periodically.
Later, the DC also convened a separate meeting of concerned officers to review the clearance /issuance of e-auctioned mineral blocks of district Kupwara.
The officers were directed to ensure strict compliance of guidelines of the Supreme Court and National Green Tribunal (NGT).
It was given out in the meeting that clearance to the proponents has to be provided under a single window clearance system to ensure greater transparency and effectiveness.
