Seeks people's cooperation in mitigating pandemic
RAJOURI, AUGUST 12: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Thursday flagged off a mobile awareness van on Covid-19 appropriate behaviour from DC Office complex.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; District Information Officer, Narinder Kumar were present during the event.
The awareness campaign was launched as a part of activities scheduled for generating awareness on covid appropriate behaviour in the district. The programmes are being organised by DIC Rajouri in collaboration with Health Department
The Mobile Awareness Van will tour the city for an outdoor awareness campaign on Covid Appropriate Behaviour and sensitize the public about the precautions like washing hands frequently, wearing face masks, maintaining social distance, staying extra cautious at public places, getting timely test for COVID if feeling any symptoms. It will also motivate the public to take the Covid vaccine as vaccination is the ultimate solution to stay safe from the infection.
The Awareness van will cover all the Subdivisions and other villages.
The Deputy Commissioner, while addressing the media persons, briefed about various activities including aggressive testing, intensive vaccination besides other measures being put in place for the efficient containment and management of COVID19 in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said the wide ranging containment measures by the District Administration also require active cooperation of the public. He called upon the public to take Covid vaccine.
