Encourages public to avail benefits of Atma Nirbhar Bharat schemes
REASI, AUGUST 07: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today conducted an extensive tour of block Panthal and convened an awareness cum public grievances redress camp.
The camp was attended by SDM Katra Abhishek Sharma; ACD Anirudh Rai; CHO Brij Vallabh Gupta; CAO Sudhir Singh; DSWO Dr Gulshan Kumar; A.D Tourism Ambika Bali; BDO Peunika Marsha; Tehsildar Katra Executive Engineers of JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD Janak Raj,PMGSY besides district officers of other concerned departments.
The DDC chairperson, BDC chairperson and concerned Sarpances, Panches also attended the camp.
Earlier, the DC inspected Katra Railway station and directed the concerned authorities to strictly enforce Covid Safety Protocols.
After that DC conducted a public darbar at community hall, Panthal and listened to the grievances of PRI members and locals.
The BDC chairperson Panthal extended his warm welcome to DC by presenting ‘Matta ki Chunni’.
The PRIs, Public put forth their demands seeking improved road connectivity especially from Panthal -Jajjar road via Domail and raised the issues related to monkey menace, Health facilities, up gradation of Jal Shakti and power infrastructure, completion of K.V School building at Panthal, pending payments, development of water bodies and other issues of public .
After listening to the Public Grievances, the DC addressed all the important issues one by one and motivated the public to avail the benefits of various important government schemes launched under Atma Nirbhar.
Responding to the issue of water, the DC directed the concerned authorities for timely execution of important projects which includes Kandyal lift Irrigation project and faster execution of works under JJM and asked the PRIs to become part of Pani Samitis for success implementation of the said scheme.
While reviewing road projects,DC directed the concerned Xens for timely completion of Panthal via Domail Road,Devi pindi Road.
Taking Stock on tourism related Projects, the DC put emphasis on development of Devi Pindi Shrine and said that the said project will be taken up in 2021-2022 and will give a boost to tourism .
While interacting with the farmers, the DC motivated them to go for crop diversification, adopt change in cropping patterns according to needs and suitability of their areas so that productivity could be increased which will be pivotal in doubling their income.
He asked the Youth to become part of Youth Clubs and made them aware about the benefits of self-employment Mumkin and Tejaswini schemes.
