Suspends 2 RDD Officials for misappropriation of funds
Contractor Company asked to camp at Ghai-Dessa to complete electrification work
DODA, AUGUST 07: As a part of the ongoing public outreach campaign, District Development Commissioner, Doda, Vikas Sharma, today conducted an extensive tour of Bhagwah Tehsil and interacted with PRI members and listened to the issues pertaining to their areas, besides reviewed implementation of developmental schemes.
During the grievance redress camp locals projected several issues and demanded better mobile and internet connectivity, blacktopping on the stretch from main road to Bhagwah, formation of SHGs under NRLM, provision of ambulance at Bhagwah headquarters, construction of tehsil building, desilting and cleaning of water reservoirs, speeding up electrification of leftout households especially in the far off places, RTC services, replacement of wooden rotten electric poles, ATM facility at headquarter etc.
Taking strong cognisance of the complaint regarding the payment made by the RDD Officials against non-existing works on the ground, the DDC placed the then secretary Panchayat and a technical assistant under suspension and directed the ACD to conduct a detailed enquiry and submit the report within 15 days to the DC office.
With regard to construction of a new building for the Tehsil office, the DDC directed the Tehsildar to finalise a suitable location. The executing agency informed the DDC that a detailed project report has already been submitted to the higher authorities.
While assessing the performance of Jal Shakti department, the DDC directed the concerned to conduct the desilting and cleaning of all the reservoirs and start the construction of new reservoirs under District capex. The BDO was asked to put on display the DPR of all JJM projects at all public places including Panchayat ghars across the block.
Taking serious note of slow progress in electrification of left out households, the DDC directed the contractor company to be stationed for ten days at Gai Dessa to resolve the issues and expedite the work.
Meanwhile, the DDC has also sought the feedback with regard to the functioning of other line departments, which includes food, agriculture, horticulture and irrigation departments and asked the public representatives to ensure that all the officials shall remain present in the offices for catering to the needs of the general public.
Later, the DDC inspected the ZEO office, PHC Bhagwah, CDPO Office, Tehsildar office, JK bank branch etc and reviewed the staff position and daily functioning.
BDC Chairperson Bhagwah, DDC member , CPO, Tehsildar, BDO, Ex En PDD, Ex En Project Wing, besides other concerned officials of line departments accompanied the DDC.
