In all, 20 students, 2 each from 10 districts of Jammu division participated in the competition which was judged by Anil Sharma, P. C. Sharma, and Mrs. Mohini Sharma from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan J&K.
Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, was the chief guest on the occasion. He wished the students well for the competition as well as for future life. The primary function of yoga and other such allied activities which were being organised by the Directorate of School Education was the all-round development of mind, body and soul of the students, he added. Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma assured the participants, organizers and other stakeholders that the Directorate will continue to organise such events in future as well for the betterment of the students in particular and society in general.
Joint Directors, Personnel Officer, Deputy Director Planning and Chief Education Officers of Directorate of School Education Jammu graced the occasion along with Sh Satya pal Sharma
President Bhartiya Yog Sansthan J&K and Sh Jia Lal Sharma, Secretary Bhartiya Yog Sansthan J&K as special guests. Zonal Education Officers and HoIs of the participating students also joined in to support the contestants of their respective areas.
The event was organised under the supervision of Ms Sunita Fotedar, State Nodal Officer Fit India Movement and Govind Sharma, Nodal Officer for Fit India Movement, Jammu Division.
Supriya Sharma, moderated the event and technical support was provided by Ashutosh Sharma.
