Fit India Freedom run 2.0 held at Doda to commemorate "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav"

DODA, AUGUST 14: Department of Youth Services & Sports organised Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 here from Sports stadium. District Youth Services & Sports officer, Jaffar Haider Sheikh flagged off the run held as part of fit India Mission launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- celebration being held across the country to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence.

Fit India Mission is aimed at to take a resolve to include at least 30 minutes physical activity in our daily ’fitness Ki Dose Aadha Ghanta Roz".

This year’s theme of ‘Fit India Freedom Run 2.0’   is ‘Jan Bhagidari se Jan Andolan’ to motivate & encourage the citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, the DYSSO said that the   Sports Department Doda is making persistence efforts  to promote sports culture and the events being held  to celebrate Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav is part of it.

He attracted the attention of all participants by highlighting the benefits of running and said that this event has been organised throughout J&K UT.

 Students, employees of sports department and locals took part in the Run by following all the covid-19 safety protocols.
