Independence Day Sports Week Celebrations - Cycling Association of J&K organizes Jammu District Cycling championship

Jammu, Aug 11: On the eve of Independence Day Sports Week Celebrations, Cycling Association of J&K  organised Jammu District
Cycling championship at K.K Hakku Hockey Stadium , Jammu . This championship has been organised under the aegis of Cycling Federation of India and sponsored by J&K Sports Council. The race has been flagged off by Sh Koushal Sharma SSP Traffic Jammu as Chief Guest who in his address appreciated the efforts of Cycling Association J&K in organising this championship giving the cyclists an opportunity to exhibit their sports talent in cycling besides sending a message of
health fitness through cycling  . He wished all the cyclists best of luck . More than 50 cyclists  under different age group categories
participated in this championship.

In the under 14 category ,  Tanmeet Singh ,Kirtan Saini  , Harsh Singh secured 1st ,2nd & 3rd positions respectively whereas In under 17
category ,  Sunil Kumar , Darshan Kumar & Ravinder Singh secured 1st , 2nd & 3rd positions respectively . Similarly In open category, Manav Radha , Aakershait Pathak and Ayush Kumar secured 1st , 2nd &  3rd
positions respectively.

Salgotra,  Treasurer,  Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council, Dr. Vikesh Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Jai Kumar
, Shabir were also present on this occasion.The Certificate  of Participation were awarded to all the participants . While speaking on the occasion The President of the Cycling Association also extended best wishes to the riders and thanked  the Chief Guest, Police department, security department, municipal corporation and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
