RAMBAN, AUGUST 11: Continuing with its policy of extending banking services to the unbanked areas of the J&K UT, Jammu and Kashmir Bank today commissioned two Business Units at Gandhri and Kanthi in Ramban district. With the addition of these two BUs, the total number of such business units of the Bank has reached 961.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mussarat ul-Islam inaugurated the two business units in presence of the Bank’s Zonal Head Jammu (North-I) Doda, Rajesh Gupta, Cluster Head Ramban Subash Chander Manhas, Heads of business units Gandhri and Kanthi besides other officials of the Bank. Following Covid appropriate protocols, the inaugural ceremonies witnessed the presence of valuable customers, elected public representatives of the two areas besides traders and local residents.
Thanking the Bank’s management for alleviating the hardships faced by the local population in availing the modern banking services, DDC Ramban urged the people to avail the banking facilities besides government sponsored schemes for their own financial progress.
“We hope top class banking facilities are extended to the esteemed customers”, the DDC said.
Speaking on the occasion the Zonal Head said, “J&K Bank is making all out efforts to provide best and easily accessible banking and financial services to its customers including women, senior citizens, start-ups and students etc.” Reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to provide World-class banking services and facilities to the people of the area irrespective of their locations and status, he advised the staff to educate the locals about various welfare schemes and conduct financial literacy campaigns about the bank’s products especially its digital channels like m-PAY and internet banking.
The local people while appreciating the efforts of J&K Bank expressed their gratitude to its leadership for fulfilling their demand for establishing these business units.
