Speaking on the occasion, the Director said that to celebrate this day departmental teams are visiting the farmers in all the districts of the valley. He said that this day gives us an opportunity to work together for a better and prosperous future.
While speaking about the saffron sector, Iqbal said that they are experiencing a good yield this year so far as the saffron is concerned and the department is working on a long term plan so that this sector could touch new heights in the years to come.
He further said that the Department is providing a comprehensive, multi-dimensional marketing models, branding, stigma separation, quality control, and packing in Saffron trading at India International Kashmir Saffron Trading Centre (IIKSTC) Dusoo.
The Director asked the officers and officials of the department to renew their commitment on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas for the progress and prosperity of the farming community. He assured the farmers of every essential support and cooperation from the department.
