DDC member, BDC Chairman elected representatives attend weekly program
SAMBA, NOVEMBER 10: To redress public grievances on the spot and take stock of services delivery mechanism, District Administration Samba today held series of weekly block divas meetings here at Ghagwal, Bari-Brahmana and Sumb area.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, listened to public issues at Ghagwal redressed many grievances on the spot.
District Development Council members, Suresh Kumar and Anita Devi, BDC Chairmen Vijay Tagotra and Radhey Shyam besides others elected members and district officers were present.
Delegations from different Panchayats and individuals apprised the Deputy Commissioner regarding the issues of their respective areas and demanded piped water connections to uncovered households, improvement in power supply, maintenance and construction of rural roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and development issues.
The Deputy Commissioner, while taking cognizance of public demands, directed the Line Departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, progress achievements under Government sponsored schemes and ensure that all the grievances are documented and action taken report is also submitted to her office.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Kumar, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba Ravinder Kumar chaired the proceedings at Bari-Brahmana and Sumb, respectively.
