Directs PWD start survey to connect hilly villages with road network

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER, 23: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today conducted an extensive tour of far flung Panchayats of Block Ramban to resolve the long pending issues of road connectivity, besides assessing the developmental scenario of the area. 

DDC Councilor, Rakesh Thakur, Executive Engineer of PMGSY and PWD, other senior officers, PRIs, prominent citizens besides general public present on the occasion.

After reaching Mulmula on foot, the Deputy Commissioner directed XEN PWD to conduct a survey to provide road connectivity to Mulmula, Shaldan and other adjoining areas.

While taking the stock of health services, the DC directed CMO Ramban to depute adequate staff in the Health and Wellness Centre Palli to provide better health facilities to people of the area.  

During the public outreach programme, the DC urged the people to register for obtaining AYUSHMAN SEHAT, Golden Card to avail benefits of the universal health insurance scheme. He also motivated the youth to avail the benefits of employment oriented schemes including Mumkin & Tejaswani being implemented by J&K government.  

Extending their gratitude to DC Ramban for proposing Shaldan area as Tourist Village,   the PRIs and general public also highlighted their demands and issues pertaining to basic facilities including road connectivity to Adhwa and other adjoining villages, power, water supply and other essential services and supplies. 

After hearing the public issues, the DC assured them early redressal of the same. He directed all officers to improve the public service delivery mechanism of their respective departments to facilitate the people. He also urged the people to take vaccination and follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
