DC Udhampur holds public outreach programs at Block Parlidhar

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today visited block Parlidhar and listened to the public grievances at Block Divas public outreach programme held at Government Higher Secondary School Raang.

BDC, Chairperson, Neelam Devi, DDC Councillor , Mool Raj and District Officers besides  Sarpanches, Panches and general public of adjoining Panchayats participated in the camp and projected several demands and issues. They demanded  repair of water supply pipes, adequate staff in educational and health institutions, Up-gradation of  infrastructure in new Higher Secondary Schools at village Pinger and Bainsta, Establishment of Veterinary centre at Dheeran, Blacktopping of 8 Km road from Sunetar to Dhanwalat, augmentation of drinking water supply, meeting requirement of old electric poles in different areas,  Installation of mobile tower, Bringing the area on tourism map.  

The DC gave a patient hearing to the public issues and demands and passed on-spot directions for redressal of their grievances in a time bound manner.  

The DC also sensitized the public about the benefits of ‘Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani’ (Azan) initiative launched by the Centre and UT Government for the welfare of the public at large. She informed that the UT government has come up with a Land Record Information System to provide online access to people to land records.   She appealed to the public to avail the benefits of the initiative and become aware of their rights.

BDC Chairman, DDC Councillor and public thanked the DC for holding a public outreach camp in the area.

Later, the DC also planted a tree and encouraged the local people to plant more trees for conserving the environment.
