DDC B’gam visits Doodhpathri, adjacent areas; takes stock of ongoing projects

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 20: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today conducted an extensive tour of Doodhpathri Tourist Resort and its adjacent areas including Raiyar, Yarikhah, Sochlipathri and Muhjpathri.

The DDC during the visit inspected many ongoing developmental projects at Doodhpathri.

Apart from taking stock of winter preparedness, the DDC inspected the ongoing mettling work on the 6 Kms stretch from Sochlipathri to Doodhpathri, he also inspected some water reservoirs and Water supply Schemes falling in the area.

Later, the DDC conducted a public Drabar under Public outreach initiative at Govt Hr Sec School Raiyar where apart from locals large presence of Population from the adjacent areas also participated.

During the interaction, a detailed memorandum of demands/grievances was presented by the representatives of the areas, besides some demands were put forth by individuals also. The issues flagged off included improvement of Roads, improvements in Power supply, upgradation of schools and implementation of advantages under TSP in the area falling under ST category.

Responding to the demands, the DDC reiterated that the aim and objective of these darbars are to reach to the door steps of general public, listen to their Grievances/ Demands on spot, and initiate process of fast track redressal of all the issues.

He assured the public that every issue presented has been listed and recorded by the concerned departments. The concerned line department will address all the issues pertaining to them on merit keeping in view the impending weather conditions also.

Prior to darbar, the DDC accompanied by CEO Budgam, Syed Mohammad Amin and concerned ZEO launched and participated in a mega enrollment drive at Raiyar where 119 new admissions were done on spot in some Govt Schools belonging to Zone Khansahab.

The DDC during the Drive himself admitted 6 students. The occasion witnessed some Govt teachers admitting their own wards in Govt Schools setting an example which was hailed by the authorities present.
