The DDC stressed upon the concerned engineers to work on war footing basis to ensure completion of the works within the given timeframe. He warned the concerned executing agencies about strict action if timelines are not followed properly.
He directed the concerned officers to submit the progress report of work done to his office.
Earlier, the DDC sought details from the concerned departments including Rural Development Department, JKPDCL and other sectors about the approved works, tendering status and status of estimations besides progress of ongoing works.
He said that the District Administration is committed to ensure that all developmental works are completed within a set timeline. He stressed on the concerned officers to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the works for their time bound completion and directed for regular monitoring of works to get them completed at an earliest.
The DDC emphasised to cooperate with each other for completion of prestigious works on time and instructed the concerned to remove all the bottlenecks so that sustainable development of the district is ensured.
During the meeting various issue were discussed which includes completion of PMAY (Gramin) houses, registration of contractors at Panchayat level and various other works related to development works. Vaishya enjoined upon the BDOs to achieve the required target within 3 days of duration and also submit the report to his office.
Status of work-wise tendering process, allotment of works, works started on ground and works completed were discussed in detail in the meeting.
The DDC exhorted upon the concerned officers to make sure the functioning of Panchayats and also ensure the infrastructure including Chairs, computers etc is made available in these Panchayats.
He directed for taking PRIs into confidence while allotting various works of departments.
