During the visit, the Director inspected different blocks of the farm and took stock of the activities being carried out by the department.
Speaking to the staff and technical experts of Allowpora Farm, the Director said that Department from last one year has started an initiative and is endeavoring to optimize the utility of Departmental farms to attain self reliance in the field of seed requirement for Kashmir Division.
He said they have already fixed bench marks and targets for every departmental farm in the valley so far as the production is concerned and after visiting different farms during the recent times theyare satisfied and optimistic to achieve those targets in an effective manner.
Director said that under the supervision and guidance of Principal Secretary AP&FWD Navin Kumar Chowdhary, the Department is executing a plan to transform all the departmental farms into the revenue earning and employment generating assets for the department besides modernizing them on global parameters.
He appreciated the efforts of the concerned and technical experts of Allowpora Farm and asked them to work with close coordination so that this Farm could achieve new heights in the years to come.
