Mayor starts Macadamization work in ward no.29, Rajpura area

Jammu, Nov 9: Continuing his endeavour to provide better development & civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta mayor Jammu alongwith  Surnider singh Chowdhary Councillor of ward no. 29 today on 09/11/2021 kick started the Macamadization work in lane no.17  & its adjoining areas near Guru Ravi Dass sabha Rajpura Mangotrian of
ward no.29.Sh. Mukesh Gupta Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of Engg. Division –II Jmc, Booth presidents namely Sh. Hira Lal
,Suresh Gupta & Sh. Som Nath of the ward no.29, as well as other Prominent inhabitants of Rajpura Mangotharian and its adjoining
localities  Pardeeep Sharma,Sh. Kewal Verma ,Sh. Girdhari Lal, Sh. Mangal Dass, Sh. Atul Bakshi was also accompanied by the mayor during the function. Speaking on the occasion, mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the locals as well as president of Shree Guru Ravi Dass sabha Rajpura as it is a thorough fare which connects with the main Rajpura chowk & people were facing great hardships due to deteriorated condition of the lane. Besides this, devotees in large numbers visit this sabha on a routine basis for attending
social/religious functions. 

He further added that the concerned councillor of the ward has taken keen interest & after his sincere efforts, this much awaited black topping work has been started today by the Engg.wing of JMC with an allotted amount of Rupees Eight lakh only and assured the locals that all the remaining lanes leading to this sabha will be got macamadized in a phased manner. Surinder chowdhary councillor of the ward also spoke on the occasion & told that he is committed to make ward no.29 really a model ward & appeal to the locals to come forward & cooperate with the municipal staff in
all the development/civic amenities undertaken in their ward, do not throw garbage, wastes etc. in the public drains/Nallahas & Lanes, put the same in the vehicles designated by JMC, adopt the habit of segregation of dry/wet waste at their own level. President of the Shree Ravi Dass sabha Rajpura also thanked the mayor & his team for visiting the area & redressing their issues.
