Rana releases album, lauds endeavours of young artists for promoting Dogri

JAMMU NOVEMBER 21- BJP leader and former legislator Mr Devender Singh Rana today lauded youngsters engaged in promotion of Dogri art and culture, saying the path breaking initiatives in popularizing the folk music in modern texture with its essence remaining intact hold promise for the sweet language.

“True that music knows no boundaries but when it comes to Dogri, it binds the people in a unique cord and generates harmony in the society”, Mr Rana said while releasing an album in Dogri, produced and written by H. R. Laknotra.

While Vibha Bharti has given voice to the song, it has been composed by Bulle Shah and Raj Hans. The song has been filmed by Vishal Magotra and Diksha Verma, choreographed and directed by Vinay Sultan.

Mr Rana said music transcends all boundaries, touches souls and creates an aura free of tension and hatred.  The success of artists is reflected by the serenity with which the audience resounds, he said and hoped that the album will be received well by the music lovers, who have always quest for something new and unique to be presented to them.

Saying that music plays a pivotal role in preserving culture, Mr Rana hoped that young artists would get due encouragement in their endeavours in this regard. He hoped that the artists involved with the album will get adequate opportunities to showcase their talent on a bigger canvass.

He said Jammu has no dearth of talent but the only need is to identify and polish it by expert hands. He also hoped that the album will inspire young artists to explore their hidden talent and make their niche in the society

Those present on the occasion included Harish Kaila, Prof RD Sharma, Capt. Lalit Shama, Yashpal Yash, Ravi Sharma, Randhir Singh and others.
