ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 27: To review the progress achieved under centrally sponsored schemes under implementation by Agriculture and Horticulture departments in the district, a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of ADDC Anantnag at D.C office, here.
The officers from Agriculture and Horticulture apprised the chair about different schemes of Agriculture and Horticulture. A detailed discussion was held regarding targets and achievements in this regard.
District Agriculture Officer informed the chair regarding scheme wise achievements made as on date for SHC-NMSA, PMKSY, SMAM etc. The Chief Agriculture Officer informed the chair that under these schemes a total allocation of 90 lacs was released and expenditure of 45 lakh stands booked and released.
Chief Horticulture Officer apprised the chair that under Capex budget 201.50 lakh stand released with expenditure of 85.36 lakh.
Assessing the progress and target achievements, the ADDC stressed upon the officers to expedite the process to achieve the physical and financial targets well in time to avoid the lapse of funds.
Agriculture and Horticulture sectors are the backbone of rural economy and development of these sectors is essential for rural prosperity added the ADDC.
The meeting among others was attended by the CPO and other concerned officers besides officials of Agriculture and Horticulture departments.
