BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 27: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Baramulla district to review the overall functioning of healthcare institution of Government Medical College Baramulla here.
The meeting was apprised regarding achievements and various requirements of the institution.
On the occasion, various requirements of emergency medicines, surgical equipment, lab reagents besides other infrastructural needs and various other issues were comprehensively discussed.
While highlighting the requirements for smooth functioning of the GMC Baramulla, Principal GMC Baramulla said that the institution has various essential requirements of public importance. These requirements include Repairs of defective drains of hospital, internal drainage and its repairs, construction of Attendants Lounge, construction of STP and ETP, repairs and renovation of various sections of hospital besides painting of hospital building.
Responding to the issues projected by the concerned officers, the DDC assured that requisite steps will be taken to provide better medicare besides for the overall development of GMC Baramulla.
He further said that it is imperative to provide health services in case of emergencies through these establishments so that referral cases to other health institutions are minimal and stressed upon the concerned to ensure proper medicare to the patients besides better sanitation and upkeep.
The DDC also directed for effective implementation of the various state and centrally sponsored schemes with better awareness dissemination.
The meeting was attended by Principal GMC Baramulla, Prof. Doctor Rubby Reshi, Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC and Executive Engineer PDD besides other senior officers of the district.
