JAMMU, DECEMBER 27: A three-day Orientation cum Capacity Building Programme regarding formulation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) under the J&K Union Territory (UT) Governments’ women employment generation programme - Tejaswani, was inaugurated today by Director, JKEDI at Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s (JKEDI) Bari Brahmana campus.
The programme is being organized to fast-track the formulation of DPR for applicants covered under the Tejaswani scheme. A total of 51 faculty members and officials from both the regions of the Union Territory are part of this program. Centre for Business Development (CBD), JKEDI has received 1050 DPRs from across the UT, and 241 have already been formulated. The Institute aims to fast-track the formulation of DPRs as per the scheme guidelines with professional expertise.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director, JKEDI stressed upon the officials to work on a mission mode to achieve the desired outcomes of the scheme. He said the scheme endeavors to empower women of the Union Territory and enable them to lead a dignified and economically independent life.
The programme is jointly coordinated by Incharge Trainings and Regional coordinators of the Institute.
Shabir Majeed and Dr. Sameer Jan Bhat, Faculty members of CBD are the resource persons for Kashmir Division and Imtiyaz AhadMalla and Aga Wahid, Faculty members are conducting the sessions for Jammu region.
The District level officers were exhorted to work in the coordination with the District Employment and Counselling Centers vis-à-vis the District Administration, so that the synergistic efforts help in achieving the desired results.
