6.3 MVA Transformer commissioned to augment power supply to Rajouri town

RAJOURI, JANUARY 14: To improve the power supply scenario in Rajouri Township, the Power Development Department today commissioned an additional 6.3 MVA capacity transformer at Thudi.

The power supply to the Rajouri town was previously supplied by 10 MVA capacity Feeder which was compelling the forced curtailments in the town due to increased demand.

The commissioning of this new transformer will mitigate the problem to a large extent as the curtailments would now be of lesser duration.

District Administration Rajouri under the leadership of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal is taking effective measures to ease the lives of the common masses and more steps would be taken in near future to augment power infrastructure in the district.

The DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal in a recent review meeting has passed a slew of directions for improvement of Power scenario in the district. The DDC has directed for installation of 6 different capacity transformers in the town and immediate commissioning of this 6.3 MVA transformer
