RAJOURI, JANUARY 05: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today asked the departments to ensure speedy and timely disposal of public grievances through an effective mechanism.
He was chairing the weekly Block Divas meeting here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.
Officers present during the event included ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; DSHO, Dr Safraz Naseem Chowdhary besides other District and Sectoral officers.
Public and their representatives from different blocks including Rajouri, Darhal, Dhangri and Doongi, Manjakote attended the event.
They apprised about a number of issues and demands of their areas and demanded renovation of BGSBU road, replacement of water pipes and damaged motors at key installations, inclusion of left out beneficiaries under PMAY, eviction of encroachment on land of schools.
Responding to the public demands, the DDC asked the concerned officers to take effective measures and ensure that the concerns of the public are redressed in a time bound manner.
He further stressed on 100 percent saturation of centrally sponsored and individual beneficiary oriented schemes and mobilization of the available resources for completion of all ongoing projects within set timelines.
The DDC also asked the concerned officers to be well versed with all the welfare schemes and put in their best efforts to mitigate the problems of people and be sensitive to their issues.
Similar programs were organised at Block and Sub divisional levels across the district.
