DDC Rajouri reviews progress on BADP works

RAJOURI, JANUARY 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the pace of progress on developmental works being executed under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in the district.

The District Development Commissioner took a detailed review of the physical and financial progress of the works taken up in the year 2021-22 under BADP.

The meeting was informed that against 1225 works taken up in the district under BADP, 1217 have been verified.  The meeting was also apprised that there is a liability of Rs 50 lacs on 68 schemes in respect of PWD Division Nowshera.

While reviewing the progress of BADP works at block Qila Darhal, the concerned BDO informed that only one work was approved for the block which is complete in all respects.

Similarly, one BADP work in block Nowshera also stands completed, the meeting was told. It was also informed that out of three works in block Panjgrain, one work is complete and two are in progress.

Regarding the works being executed in model villages, it was informed that 33 works have been approved for three model village projects. At model village Sawani, out of three works, two are in progress which will be completed by February 15, 2022 and one is in the tendering stage, the DDC was informed.

Taking stock of the Health sector works, the provision of ambulances for Seri, Manjakote and Qila Darhal have been kept in the plan.

It was further informed that 11 schemes have been taken up under PWD Sector, while one work has been approved under Education sector which is complete.

The DDC asked the concerned officers to get all the completed works geo-tagged at the earliest and upload the same on BADP portal.

He also laid thrust on maintaining quality while executing the work and directed the concerned officers to conduct  regular field visits to monitor the progress of works.
