SRINAGAR, JANUARY 24: Ahead of 73rd Republic Day, full dress rehearsal was held, on Monday, across all the districts of Kashmir, giving a glimpse of the grand spectacle to unfold on Wednesday.
The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual Republic Day parade scheduled to be held on January 26.
In Srinagar, the full dress rehearsal was held at S.K Stadium Sonwar, Srinagar where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole unfurled the tricolor over the mast and took salute at the March–past.
On the occasion, various contingents of security agencies took part in the parade including J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, Indian Reserve Police, Central Reserve Police Force, SSB, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency and NCC.
Later, Div Com witnessed various cultural programmes including folk dance, baand-e-paether and dance based on patriotic songs presented by different groups and troupes.
Among others present in the full dress rehearsal function were senior officers from civil administration and police department.
At Anantnag: On the eve of full dress rehearsal for Republic day, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani today unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.
Addressing the gathering, the ADDC said that the nation is paying rich tributes to the leaders, freedom fighters and martyrs who made countless sacrifices for the freedom of the country. Glorifying their contributions, he said that it is the result of their supreme efforts that we are living in a free country.
The ADDC highlighted the covid mitigation efforts besides achievements made by the district under various priority areas including education, healthcare, languishing, back to village, district capex, agriculture and allied sectors, women and youth empowerment, MGNREGA, JJM, water and electricity supply to Anganwadi Centres and schools, rural development, macadamisation and road connectivity, social welfare, Nasha Mukt Bharat, industries, self employment and creation of durable and sustainable assets.
The March Past was presented by the contingents from CRPF, J&K Police, Home Guards, NCC and 105 INF Bn at GDC Boys, Khanabal.
On the occasion, colorful cultural programmes on patriotic themes were presented by students from schools and local artists.
Among others, ADCs, SP, CEO, ACD, ACP, ACR, Ex. Engineer R&B, Tehsildar Anantnag, officers from civil and police administration and general public were present during the full dress rehearsal.
At Baramulla: Ahead of Republic Day celebrations 2022, a full dress rehearsal was held today at District Headquarter Baramulla where Assistant Commissioner Baramulla, Mohammad Rafiq Lone unfurled the national flag besides inspected the parade and took a salute at the March Past.
Speaking at the event, the ACR highlighted the importance of Republic Day in Indian history. He said that Baramulla is leading on the path of development on multiple fronts at an accelerating pace.
He further said that Baramulla is recognized as the fast developing district in the county as in the recently issued NITI Aayog's Delta Ranking, Baramulla district has achieved remarkable achievement in Aspirational District Programme in the country.
Moreover, he enlisted various projects that were developed in the district in different sectors viz health, education, rural development etc and said that the district has recorded immense achievements in multiple fields.
The march past was presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Home guards, Fire and Emergency services, NCC and Students from different Schools.
Pertinently, District Police Baramulla has for the first time introduced its own band at the event.
Meanwhile, various colorful cultural programmes were also presented by the students which were appreciated by the audience.
Meanwhile, In connection with ensuing Republic Day, full dress rehearsal was held at Police Lines Khushal Stadium Sopore where Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore hoisted the National Flag, inspected parade and took salute at the march past.
The March past was presented by the contingents of CRPF, District Police Sopore, Home Guard and school children.
SSP Sopore Sudhanshu Verma, officers and officials of the administration and other people were present on the occasion.
Students of various educational institutions presented colourful variety programmes during the function.
At Budgam: The full dress rehearsal in connection with Republic Day celebrations was held at Sports Stadium Budgam.
On the occasion, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Akramullah Tak hoisted the National flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march-past.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters and highlighted the development initiatives undertaken in the district. A variety of cultural programmes were presented by various schools enthralling audiences with their performances.
The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Home Guards, NCC and contingents from different schools.
SSP Budgam, Tahir Saleem, ADC Budgam, Nasir Ahmad Lone, GM DIC, ASP Budgam, CEO and other Civil and Police officers were also present on the occasion.
At Ganderbal: In connection with the forthcoming Republic-day Full dress rehearsal was held today at Qamaria Ground, Ganderbal where Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Pir Muzafar Ahmad unfurled the tricolor, took the salute at the march-past, inspected the parade.
The ADDC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.
The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB and Home Guard, besides colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by School children.
The ADDC interacted with contingents and appreciated their preparations for the event.
In his address, the ADDC lauded the importance of Republic-Day celebration and highlighted the various developmental activities registered by different departments in the district adding that it is an endeavor of the district administration to facilitate all round and equal development in the district along with tourism, sports and other fields.
The ADDC said that in the overall ranking of the first ever District Good Governance Index held recently, district Ganderbal has emerged at the 6th position for which ADDC lauded all the departments for their commitment and hard work.
He also highlighted the mitigation efforts put forth by the district administration with regard to containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the district.
The ADDC said that 100% first dose Covid vaccination for 15-18 year is also achieved in the district and appealed to the general public to follow prescribed guidelines and other SOPs religiously so that the looming threat of Covid-19 3rd wave is mitigated.
ADC, Ganderbal Farooq Ahma Baba, ASP Ganderbal, Feroz Yahya, ACR Ganderbal, DYSP Head Quarter besides various other civil and police officers were present at the event.
At Pulwama: The full dress rehearsal for Republic Day concluded successfully at District Police Lines Pulwama where Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Dr Sheikh Ab Aziz hoisted the National flag and took salute at the March–past.
The contingents that participated in the March past parade included CRPF, JKAP, IRP, lady contingent, Home Guard, commando palato, Fire & Emergency Services and Youth Services & Sports Contingent and band squad contingent.
Similar function was held at District Police Lines Awantipora where Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora, unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.
At Shopian: The full dress rehearsal for Republic Day 2022 celebration was held today at District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian amid tight security arrangements.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani took salute at the march past and inspected the parade.
The contingents of CRPF, JKP, IRP, Forest Protection Police, Home Guard and school students participated in March past.
School children of various educational institutions of the district presented colorful cultural programmes. The cultural items depicted composite patriotic traditions and music of Shopian.
The function was attended by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha, CEO, ASP, Xens, Heads of various departments, besides senior District and Police Officers, school children and officials/officers of various departments.
At Kulgam: In connection with the celebration of 73rd Republic day, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Kulgam where Additional district Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC congratulated the people and highlighted the measures of administration taken to deal and combat Coronavirus pandemic.
He said that during the recent snow spell district administration ensured timely Snow clearance and restoration of essential services across the district. He also mentioned achievements and progress made under various schemes and programmes in the district.
The march past was presented by contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, IRPF, Women Police, Home Guard, Police band, new police recruits, NCC cadets and other contingents.
Multiple Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion.
ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, A-SP, ACR,CEO, DYSSO, DSP-DAR, DSP-HQ and other officers from civil and police administration attended the programme.
At Kupwara: Full dress rehearsal for Republic Day celebration 2022 was held at District Police Lines Kupwara where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ghulam Nabi Bhat unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at March-Past.
The March Past was presented by contingents from JKP, JKAP, CRPF, IRP, Home Guards, FPF, SPF and police contingents.
Addressing the function, the ADC highlighted the importance of the Republic Day and the Indian Constitution and said that it is because of this constitution people are enjoying fundamental rights in free India.
The ADC highlighted the Covid mitigation efforts undertaken by the administration including vaccination of 15-17 year aged children.
He appealed to the people to follow the Covid guidelines religiously and take necessary Covid vaccine doses for their safety.
A variety of cultural programmes were presented by the school children during the function.
On the occasion, ASP Kupwara, CEO Kupwara, Civil and police officers were present.
At Handwara, full dress rehearsal was also held at District Police Lines Handwara where Tehsildar Handwara, Shahbaz Ahmad unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at march past presented by contingents from JKP, JKAP ,BSF, CRPF, IRP and Police band.
ASP, Handwara, Officers from civil administration, police department and other concerned were present on the occasion.
Full dress rehearsal was held in Karnah Sub-Division where SDM Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather unfurled the National Flag and took salute at March past. Meanwhile, school children also presented colourful programmes.
Full dress rehearsal functions were also held across the district including at different educational institutions.
At Bandipora: In connection with the celebration of 73rd Republic-Day, full dress rehearsal was held at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Bandipora where Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad inspected the parade and took salute at the March Past.
On the occasion, DC addressed the gathering and highlighted the performance of the district during the current financial year under various state and centrally sponsored schemes. He made a special mention of speedy resolution of public grievances, celebration of Block Diwas, improvement in key indicators of Panchayat Development Index and other programmes wherein focus was laid on grievance redressal.
Dr Owais appealed to people to adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour and cooperate with the administration to ensure and implement COVID mitigation measures including weekend lockdown.
The march-past was presented by the contingents of CRPF, JK Executive Police, SPOs, , NCC cadets, Home Guards and students from different schools also took part in the event
School children and CRPF on the occasion presented colourful cultural programmes while JKP displayed Martial art performance that enthralled the audience and received a huge applause from them.
Similar full dress rehearsals were held across districts at all sub divisions, Blocks, Panchayats, Schools and other Government Offices where tricolor will be unfurled.
Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zahid, Additional District Development Commissioner Ali Afsar Khan, District Officers and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
