Drive for Aadhar Enrollment of 0 to 05 age group launched
RAJOURI, APRIL, 08: Gram Swaraj Month has gained great momentum in Rajouri with a large number of activities being organised across the district by different departments.
The activities are being held as part of the 100 point programme whereby various departmental activities are being converged at the Halqa levels to achieve saturation in welfare schemes, work towards creating clean panchayats, enhance public participation and spread mass awareness about the social security schemes, and heritage planning.
Some other activities being organised across the district include the establishment of a Panchayat secretariat; the uploading of data as a part of Digital Panchayats, registration of panchayat on the GeM portal and other activities.
Heritage planning to conserve and preserve the heritage/ancient sites and tourism plans are also being finalised in the Gram Sabhas.
As per the RDD, 197 Panchayats have been made functional in the district. The BDOs along with PRI are inspecting the projects completed under different Schemes.
To bring more transparency and accountability in the works executed by the RDD, special CIBs are being installed at the project sites.
The LDM informed that a series of camps are being organised and special instructions have been given to Bankers for facilitating and motivating the public to avail the benefits under different schemes.
He informed that 0ver 40 percent progress have been achieved under JSBY/JJBY/JDY, while 72.10 % eligible persons have been issued RuPay cards, 98.37% KCC cards, besides the district has recorded 100% coverage under Mudra Yojana.
The District Development Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal is closely monitoring the progress and achievements under Gram Swaraj Month and the District Administration has issued an activity schedule to hold gram sabhas and various other activities in all 312 panchayats spread over 19 blocks for the celebration of Gram Swaraj Month.
Meanwhile a special drive for the Aadhar enrollment of children in 0 to 5 year age group began here today. The drive has been started as a part of the ongoing Gram Swaraj Month and on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
"As a part of an elaborate plan finalised by DC Rajouri, 11 Aadhar operators are visiting Anganwadi centres for the enrollment of the Anganwadi beneficiaries" the DPO ICDS Kartar Singh Said.
In the coming days we are also roping in Post Offices for Aadhar enrollment and update” the District Program Officer ICDS said.
