The most visited among all popular Shrines includes Sukrala Mata Shrine, Billawar and Mata Bala Sundri Shrine, Sundrikote where long queues of pilgrims were seen during the first four days of navratri festival.
In view of the relenting Covid situation this time, devotees from different parts of Jammu Kashmir besides neighbouring states are paying obeisance in large numbers which was marred by Covid in preceding years.
The Bhawan and Yatra routes of twin Shrines are decorated with fresh flowers besides colourful lighting making the devotees spellbound as they are experiencing the divine atmosphere of Navratri after a lull of two Covid years.
As informed by ADC Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma, so far over 25,000 devotees paid obeisance at Sukrala Mata Shrine averaging over 5000 devotees daily. He further informed that nearly 20,000 devotees so far have visited Mata Bala Sundri Shrine Sundrikote which is connected via dual route through Billawar and District Headquarter Kathua.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav said all arrangements are put in place to make the visit of the devotees comfortable and memorable.
He informed that administration has made provisions for Live broadcast of Morning and Evening Aarti from Sukrala Mata Shrine which can be watched on www.sukralamataji.in timing of which is 05:45 am in the morning and 07:00 pm in the evening.
The DC said administration has made ample arrangements to cater the needs of devotees visiting the shrines so as to provide them pleasant experience. He said with the easing out of Covid restrictions the expected footfall of devotees is going to scale up in coming days. He said all necessary arrangements are put in place in other shrines and temples of the district which usually register a rush of pilgrims during Navratri festival.
