Resolves several public issues on spot; Orders audit of educational institutions
DODA, APRIL 20: Taking Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to the far off places of the district, District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a Block Divas meeting at Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) village Khalu of Block Bhaderwah.
The DDC met several deputations, listened to the issues of locals and resolved numerous issues of the public on the spot.
People expressed their gratitude to the Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh for selecting the village under SAGY.
The locals and public representatives including BDC chairperson, Sarpanches and Social activists projected a range of issues of public importance. They demanded payment of pending land compensation, replacement of wooden electric poles, payment of material liability under MGNREGA, shifting of patwarkhana to a central location of Seri, sanctioning of dispensary for Khalu, sanctioning of cutting tailoring centre for the unemployed women of Manwa panchayat, execution of pending patch of Gathi Morh to Manwa road, restoration of the Jai Water Supply scheme, provision of Hindi medium teachers, mobile connectivity to Singohi panchayat, marketing facility for the local wool and milk products, prompt disposal of self employment cases pending in Bhalara bank branch, fair price shop at Khalu, community hall at Khalu, start of work on additional ten rooms at Hr Sec school Drudu, release of pending 14th FC installments, extension of SAGY model village scheme to adjoining villages, besides other numerous issues.
While responding to the issues of education and Jal shakti department, the DDC asked the concerned to improve their functioning and ensure timely disposal of the public issues. The Jal Shakti department was asked to tender the work for restoration of Jai Water Supply scheme under languishing projects within next one week and share the DPR framed under JJM for the area with the local representatives.
Regarding demand for a fair price shop at Khalu, the DDC directed AD Food to establish an extension counter for the convenience of the locals.
The CMO was asked to schedule two weekly visits of the health team to the area for providing health services to the locals. The DDC further directed the ADC to ask for 3 day weekly functioning of Chatra patwarkhana .
To address education related issues, the DDC authorised the ADC Bhaderwah for audit of all the educational institutions to ascertain the staff position and status of buildings within the next fifteen days. The Tehsildar was asked to conduct surprise inspections in all the educational institutions to check the punctuality of the teachers, functioning of institutions.
To address the problem of lack of marketing facilities for the local wool and milk products, the DDC directed the Sheep Husbandry officer to take up the matter with the wool board and seek visit of a Board team within next fifteen days. The CAHO informed that milk marketing will be ensured under the dairy cluster scheme during the current financial year.
The DDC also issued directions regarding the construction of Gathi Morh to Manwa PMGSY road and asked PWD Bhaderwah to submit a factual report of the pending work.
The DDC informed the locals all concerned line departments shall attend this village on the last Saturday of every month, and a senior officer will be deputed to follow up the developmental plan under SAGY.
