Chairman DDC Doda, DC participate in Block diwas program

DODA, JUNE 08: Chairman District Development Council Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma today chaired Block Diwas program at Misrata Panchayat of Bhallara area in Bhaderwah Tehsil and listened to the issues of the general public.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman DDC Doda informed the participants about the schemes of Govt of India and UT Govt launched for general public and especially for the people living in the rural areas. He lauded the District Administration for its excellent performance in completion of PMGSY projects, effective implementation of District Capex and in maintaining law and order in the district.

The Chairman assured the locals that soon the Chinchora and Lanchan areas will have quality road connectivity under PMGSY as the department is heading towards coverage of left out habitations.

Besides, he also apprised the locals about the recent milestones achieved by Govt which include sanctioning of 11 installment of PM Kissan in favor of beneficiaries by the PM, lavender revolution spearheaded by son of the soil Dr Jitendra Singh Union MOS, blacktopping of Pul Doda Bhaderwah road etc.

During the program, several issues of public importance were raised by the PRIs including payment of pending land rent under Army, timely completion of NTPHC Bhallara, Settlement of the dispute regarding the park, meeting water shortage, shifting of damaged electric poles, restoration of nonfunctional hand pumps and appointment of the locals as Arogya Mitras in the health institution. 

With regard to the issue of NTPHC Bhallara, it was informed by the concerned that necessary design modifications have been made and the same has been uploaded on the portal and the work would be started soon. The DC directed the concerned to follow up the issue and assured his intervention.

The DC asked the ADC Bhaderwah to take up the issue of rent with the Army officials for early disposal.

In addition to this, he sought a report on the nature of the land of the park, whether it was acquired so that the matter shall be taken up with the Army and accordingly it will be further developed for the amusement of the locals.

While responding to the water crisis, the DC informed that 8 Water Supply Schemes have been proposed under JJM for 19 revenue villages to benefit around 1200 households and approximately 12000 souls.

In addition to this, locals also demanded construction of reservoirs for which the concerned officer assured appropriate action.

The DC also directed the PDD to ensure that Misrata Panchayat was taken into consideration on priority for replacement of damaged electric poles. The ADC Bhaderwah was asked to ensure the visit of ground water officials to the area to start repair of nonfunctional water hand pumps.

The DC advised the locals to take maximum benefits of social sector schemes like APY, PMJSY, PMJJY, besides sought action taken report on the issues raised during previous outreach programs within the next fifteen days.

It was revealed that as many as 56 domicile certificates, 15 category certificates, 27 revenue papers and 20 birth/death certificates were issued to the beneficiaries on the spot. Besides, 8 families were covered under the Ayushmaan Bharat scheme.

Moreover 164 applications/grievances were received during the day-long program across the district out of which 147 feasible public grievances were disposed of on the spot. Rest of the grievances were forwarded to the concerned quarters for time bound redressal for which the field officers were directed to follow up the same.

 Also 843 new Developmental works were started   under various Developmental schemes across the District.
