1502 students enrolled under Talaash campaign
RAJOURI, JUNE 06: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the achievements under the Education Sector here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the DDC office complex.
Discussions on various points including enrollment of students , progress under Nipun Bharat, Talash, digital literacy program, Clean Schools Green Schools initiative, school sanitation program etc was held in the meeting.
Discussing the enrollment of the students in schools, the CEO Education informed that there were 2073 schools in the district including 1722 Govt and 351 private schools with 97457 enrollments in the Govt schools nad 60354 in the private schools.
Taking stock of the students trained under Nipun Bharat, the meeting was apprised that against the target of training 27300 students, as many as 1160 students have been trained. the DDC asked the concerned officer to complete the training exercise at the earliest.
While reviewing the number of students enrolled under Talash, it was apprised that 1502 students were brought to schools for the firts time. Regarding the 'My School My Pride initiative', the DDC asked the concerned officer to submit the calendar of activities to be carried out under the initiative in the district.
To promote the digital literacy program, the meeting was informed that 78 smart classrooms have been established in general areas and 20 in tribal areas, while a proposal for 79 more smart classrooms has also been submitted.
Regarding the Clean School Green Schools initiative, the meeting was informed that eco clubs have been constituted in the district and students are being made aware of environmental problems and motivated towards cleanliness and sanitation.
Stressing on effective implementation of the School sanitation program, the DDC asked for mobilizing ZEOs to visit the schools in their respective jurisdictions and ensure that all schools of the district have functional drinking water facilities.
The concerned officers were further asked to liaise with the Jal Shakti Department and ensure that all schools of the district have functional drinking water facilities.
Seeking the status of operationalization of kindergarten schools, the meeting was apprised that the DPRs formulation process for 100 kindergarten schools was in progress.
The DDC also asked to submit the calendar of activities on the learning management system and digital classes to be carried out as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the district.
The DDC also impressed upon the concerned officers to take concrete measures to strengthen the education sector in the district and ensure that quality education is provided to the students in the institutions.
For enforcing punctuality in schools, he also stressed on conducting regular inspections of the schools by the Zonal Education officers concerned.
