Forest Division B’pora organises various events under Shafaaf Bandipora Campaign

BANDIPORA JUNE 06: In continuation with World Environment Day Celebrations, the Forest Division  Bandipora today organised various events under "Shafaaf Bandipora Campaign  in Gurez , Khuihama and Ajas Forest Ranges. 

The events were carried out to highlight the importance of environment protection and cleanliness. Students took part in Debates, Essay competitions, Plantation drives and other green rallies including the Cleanliness and Plastic Free Forest drives in which the importance of a healthy environment to sustain human lives was highlighted.

 In Gurez, the event was attended by SDM Gurez, Dy.SP Dawar, Students, Teachers, , Army personnel’s,   PRI members, Himalayan Bag Packers, Grand Hill Restaurant and local residents as well.

Padma Shree awardee Faisal Ali Dar also attended the event at Gurez.

In Khuihama and Ajas Forest Range, Debates, painting competitions, plantation drives and green rallies were carried out with active participation of Teachers, Students, PRI members and other stakeholders.

 During these events, Forest  Officers/officials encouraged the participants to work for a common cause   to protect and conserve our Environment sustainably and everyone should play a role to protect it.
