Locals hail District Admin for completion of project in record time

   REASI, DECEMBER 13: Retrofitting and augmentation of water supply scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme was today inaugurated and dedicated to public of Kun Kanyala by District Development Council Chairperson, Reasi Saraf Singh Nag in presence of Deputy Commissioner,   Babila Rakhwal.

     Executive Engineer PHE apprised the chairperson that the scheme was approved at an estimated cost of Rs 252.69 lacs. He informed that under this scheme 5000 souls would benefit.

Chairperson DDC said that the Jal Jeevan Mission is a centrally sponsored scheme launched by the government of India with the objective to provide tap water to all households across the nation.  He stressed on tapping all sustainable water resources for the benefits of the community.  Chairperson DDC further stressed that the PHE sector was the main priority sector and all officers/officials should work hard to provide best services to the people.  He called upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of various government schemes and programmes.

The DDC Chairperson stated that   functional tap water connection for every household is the goal of the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission as ”Access to drinking water facilities is the basic right of every citizen."   Local people thanked the District Administration for completion of the project in a record time.

Others present on the occasion were Chandermohan Singh, BDC Chairman Panthal; Rajinder Mengi, DDC Member Panthal; SE PHE (JJM), RK Mahajan; EEN  PHE Reasi, Rakesh Gupta,  Sarpanches, Panches and Public of Panthal and Dadura Villages of Tehsil Katra.
