Chief Executive Officer, Integrated Watershed Management Project (IWMP), Dr. Bharat Bhushan- the visiting officer held various programmes in Batote and assessed the development needs of the area.
The CEO convened a meeting of officers and reviewed the developmental scenario of the town. He directed them to focus on the beautification of the Batote which has a great tourism potential which can be tapped to boost the local economic activities.
The CEO also interacted with the President MC Batote Ravinder Singh, Councilors, Officers and general public and discussed 7 plans finalized by the MC Batote besides listing the issues and demands highlighted by the public representatives and sought early redressal. He assured that their issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities and directed the officers to resolve their local issues on a priority basis.
The CEO inspected departmental stalls and encouraged the locals to avail the benefits of various government schemes especially job oriented schemes.
Similarly the a day long MTMP programme was presided by Deputy Commissioner, of State Tax Enforcement, Shahnawaz Shah, in Municipality Banihal where public meetings and various other programmes were held.
He also inaugurated various developmental works and lead foundation stones. He also held a detailed discussion with officers and people on various developmental plans for the development of Banihal town besides finalizing developmental plans of public interest for the Municipal Committee Banihal after a detailed discussion with public representatives.
During the programme visiting officer inaugurated newly constructed houses under PMAY-U. He also participated in the plantation drive organized by the Forest department.
