JAMMU, JANUARY 13: The 2-day Workshop on NAAC Awareness for Colleges of J&K, UT concluded in Padma Shri Padma Sachdeva Government PG College for Women.
The second day of the workshop began with a formal welcome address by Dr Yasmeen Ashai, Director Colleges, Higher Education, J&K, UT. She briefed that the major breakthrough in the Higher Education Department with the smooth introduction of NEP-2020 should be followed along with the best practices towards quality transformation of education according to NAAC.
“The primary regulation is addressing accreditation as a benchmark for quality,” she added. In her presentation, she also delineated how to meet quality parameters.
Dr. Yasmeen Ashai, Director Colleges, UT of J&K, Rakesh Badyal, Special Secretary Higher Education Department, Nodal Principals, J&K discussed the status and plan of action for NAAC. As the primary goal of institutional accreditation by NAAC is to provide the information needed to improve the experience of the learning communities, it is envisaged that NAAC plays a larger role in internalizing and institutionalizing quality assurance.
The students studying in NAAC accredited universities and colleges can be assured that the institution has essential and desirable features of quality education.

The students danced to the foot taping Punjabi & Dogri music. The program came to an end with the report sharing and Prof. Minu Mahajan, Principal, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev, Govt. PG College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu presented the vote of thanks.
