74th Republic Day: Editor's Message

 Dear Readers,

Republic Day commemorates the implementation of Constitution on January 26, 1950. The constitution was adopted by the constituent assembly on 26^th Nov. 1949 and came into force on 26^th January 1950. India became a sovereign and republic state. The constitution provides for parliamentary sovereign and judicial supremacy. To respond to new needs the constitution was amended from time to time. Besides other by 42^nd constitution amendment word secular was added to the preamble of Indian constitution

Preamble declares India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. The objectives stated by the preamble are to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizen and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the country. Our India is secular so does not have any state religion and people are free to practice any religion of their choice. India has shown unity in diversity as all the people of different religions lives together having equal rights under the constitution.

Today we are celebrating the 74^th  Republic Day. We are celebrating this day because dreams of great people who fought and sacrifice their life’s and everything for this great country now have come true. We should promise our motherland that we will do everything to enrich and preserve our heritage and ethos and pray for the prosperity and unity of the country on this Republic Day. In this Incredible India where Indian celebrate all festivals in every region of every religion we irrespective of region and religion celebrate this festival of Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pledge to make India Healthy and Happy.
